Pastor

Rev. Dr. Daniel W. Fugate

Pastor Dan grew up in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, a Detroit suburb.  He attended Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, where he graduated with a degree in Social Work.  He earned a Master of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary, also in Columbus, Ohio, and a Doctor of Ministry in transformational leadership from Ashland Theological Seminary, Ashland, Ohio.

Prior to serving at Pilgrim, Pastor Dan served as Assistant to the Bishop of the Indiana-Kentucky Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) where his responsibilities included lifelong faith formation and ministry with children, youth, and young adults, including campus ministry.  He currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the ELCA Network for Children, Youth, and Family Ministry and Synod Champion for the ELCA Youth Gathering which will be held in New Orleans in the summer of 2024.  Previously, he served at Trinity English Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, IN, and at congregations in Ohio and Michigan.

Pastor Dan and his wife, Karen, who is a teacher at Westfield Middle School, have two adult sons:  Jason is Associate Pastor at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Crestview Hills, Kentucky, and Brent is employed at Conner Prairie in Fishers.  They have two whippets, Gus and Sam.

Director of Music/Organist

Mark Enyart

Mark is so pleased, and honored, to be the organist of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.  Being the son of a minster, he is used to serving God through the ministries of the church and is excited to see what our Lord has in store here at Pilgrim.
Mark went to Butler University, studying organ as primary and voice as secondary, and has been the Director of Music/ Organist in several churches in Indiana and Florida.  While enjoying and loving all aspects of church music and life, the organ, its literature and the instrument, is his favorite. Through the years, he has played violin, clarinet, piano, handbells and percussion. He has sung in the Indiana Symphonic Choir and has soloed for several area churches.  He has also worked as a floral designer, off and on, for many years. 
He works with and collects antiques, fountain pens, numerous types of pottery and vase, loves to read and collects various kinds of antiquated books. He enjoys numerous things…would you like to know what they include? Just ask him.
 


Handbell Director

Kevin Donley

Kevin is the handbell director for Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Growing up, Kevin played the clarinet from the time he was a young boy all the way through his college years. He was a member of various concert bands at Purdue University, and studied with Michael Borschel of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. After college, Kevin put down the clarinet and began singing. Through it all, he also has played handbells for over 30 years. In 2000 Kevin made the transition from ringer to handbell director and in 2009 he formed Pilgrim’s youth handbell choir. “Bells offer a unique musical opportunity as well as an enhancement for our worship,” says Kevin. “As we move forward, I hope to expand our bell choirs and continue this offering that our congregation has so warmly embraced."

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Indiana. Kevin worked in the automotive industry for 13 years before moving to Roche Diagnostics in 2007.

Kevin and his wife Tammy live in Fishers with their two children, Aaron and Amanda.


Preschool Director

Amy Tucker

Amy was a teacher at Pilgrim Lutheran Preschool for 18 years before she became the director for the 2016-2017 school year. Amy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University. She was married to her husband Todd shortly after graduating, and they have two adult daughters. Their daughters attended preschool at Pilgrim Lutheran Preschool, and it was at this time that Amy began teaching here. 

Amy also has worked in recent years at the Speedway Public Library, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Outside of her life at Pilgrim, Amy enjoys reading, attending concerts, and spending time with her family.


Assistant Treasurer

Donna Drew

As the assistant treasurer for Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Donna performs the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial duties at the direction of the treasurer to the Board of Directors.

Donna and her husband Kyle have been Carmel residents since 1992. She has been a member of the Pilgrim staff since 2004. They have two grown children.
